Privacy by Design

The World Peace Ledger is built so that your voice can be counted without you being exposed. These are the principles the platform is built on, and what they mean for your data.

Principles of the platform and why they matter
PrincipleWhy it matters
Self-CustodyUsers hold their own keys. No third party can freeze or seize tokens.
Open SourceCode is auditable, forkable, and not controlled by a single entity.
Decentralized InfrastructureNo single point of failure or censorship.
Privacy by DesignNo personal data collected unless absolutely necessary.
Free to LaunchNo platform fees, no vendor lock-in, no monthly subscriptions.
Biometric VerificationSybil resistance: one human, one token.

What we record

  • Your public wallet address and the soul-bound token issued to it.
  • Your signature entry on the ledger, including the country you choose to display.
  • Your governance activity: proposals, endorsements and votes, which are public by design.
  • Donations and fund releases, which are recorded publicly for transparency.

What we never collect or store

  • Raw biometric data. Thumbprint checks run on your own device; only a one-way cryptographic proof reaches the ledger.
  • Your private keys or recovery phrase. They stay with you, always.
  • Your legal identity, unless you choose optional identity verification for a steward or grantee role.
  • Advertising profiles. We do not sell, rent or share personal data.

Human verification

  • Liveness: a hand-drawn signature confirmed by a thumbprint on your device.
  • Uniqueness: a privacy-preserving check and a Human Passport score to ensure one person holds one entry.
  • Identity (optional): verifiable, zero-knowledge credentials that prove a fact without revealing documents.

Public ledger, permanent record

  • Entries written to a public blockchain are permanent and cannot be deleted by anyone, including us.
  • Please do not include personal details in anything you publish to the ledger.
  • You may stop participating at any time. Off-chain data held by the app can be deleted on request.

Cookies and analytics

  • We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the site working.
  • Any analytics are aggregate and do not identify individuals.

Your rights

  • Access, correct or delete the off-chain data the app holds about you.
  • Withdraw consent for optional identity verification at any time.
  • Ask questions or raise concerns with the stewarding foundation.
